"Do Something Creative Every Day!"

Says the sub-header on Paper Source. This fits nicely with one of my goals for this year, to art more.

I've been wanting to try out this kit I bought from their San Francisco store about a year ago during a shopping trip with MadRetz. Butterflies a la Urban Couture, one of BasicGrey's newest paper lines. (My *favorite* line of scrapbook papers : .) The kit comes with patterns, papers, wire and directions to make these fun butterflies, but I got a bee in my bonnet (haha!) and wanted to try the butterflies with these patterned papers instead of those included in the kit. Fun!!!

oooh, how pretty. Such lovely paper choices. How big are they in real life?

Thanks ragged & zann! Aren't the papers cool!!!

zann - ummm, the bleu background is a 12"X12" sheet of paper, so I'd say the big butterflies are about 4"X3" and the smaller brown one in the lower left corner is about 3"X3"ish.

How truly sweet! Baby Girl needs those too!!! What will you do with them?

oooh, Basic Grey has a line of papers called, wait for it..."Oh, BabyGirl!!!" I have your email, right, from the recipe exchange for your beautiful rose box? I'll email you there and we can talk about some for your baby girl!

One is for MadRetz. She's got jury duty this week, so it was either to be a "I don't want to be picked for jury duty" talisman or a "I want to enact my civic duty" charm : .) One is for my sis, one for me, and one for an artist that I will be visiting this weekend. I had this idea stringing them from the ceiling in my living room, but that will take so many more!!!

Ohhh, yum yum! Love this paper line too! Can't wait to get my set (it's on order). Love the butterflies. Now I'll be in search of a way to buy the kit to make them! ha Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm behind on my commenting because of a naughty computer.

I love these! I have never seen any like them before. I hope they work as a talisman for Madretz. I've had jury duty before, and it was NOT a good experience!
